Wesley House Holidays Welcomes Dogs

With so many dog friendly beaches, nearby trails and dog friendly restaurants in Cornwall, it’s natural that you will want to bring your dogs on holiday with you. Being dog lovers we enjoy having your furry friends stay in our cottages but we have many guests staying without dogs so as a dog owner you will understand that we must have rules in place to ensure everyone who stays has a relaxing and enjoyable time.

Here is an extract of our pet rules – you may wish to check our full pet policy in our Booking Terms & Conditions page.

Pet Rules
• We welcome a maximum of 2 small, house-trained dogs over 12 months of age only. We need to know the number, age and type of dogs you are bringing upon booking.
• There is a charge of £30 per dog per stay regardless of type. This helps towards extra cleaning, extra laundry and waste disposal etc but we ask you to please leave to cottage as you found it. We provide some throws, treats, and we have some small food and water bowls for you to use.
• Flea treatments must up to date and dogs must be bathed and groomed prior to arrival at the property.
• Please do not allow your pet on the bedding or other furniture, unless previously agreed (see below).
• If however, your pet is used to sleeping with you then we totally understand and would ask that you bring your own duvet, pillows and covers and we will just supply your bed sheet (as the beds are unusually large) – Please let us know if you’d like this option as we try to be flexible so you and your dog have a lovely holiday.
• Sofa & other furniture – Please let us know if your pet usually sits on the sofa with you as we can provide a small throw. This may not be enough so most owners bring their own. Let us know, as we can remove any soft furnishings to prevent damage.
• Be mindful of muddy paws when returning from a day out and use the doggy towel provided (not our guest towels) to dry off fur and paws.
• Please bring your pet’s own bed or blanket (washed) as we find they are happier whilst staying here.
• There’s a hoover and cleaning products in each cottage for you to use to collect any dog hair.
• Please remember to pick up after your dog(s) on site (including the fields). All dog waste must be bagged up and placed in the bin provided. Apart from being unsightly, it poses a a real human health risk.
• Dogs cannot be left unaccompanied and able to roam free in the property or its grounds.
• No nuisance or annoyance is to be caused to neighbours.
• Do not allow your dog to scratch the doors, window sills or furniture.
• We may ask for a small refundable damage / extra cleaning deposit.

The above is pretty obvious and normal for holiday cottage stays but if you have any queries please contact us.
